About Amy Baker

I am a nonprofit senior manager with over 20 years of experience at the Council on Foreign Relations, the world’s leading foreign policy think tank and research organization, in senior managerial positions such as Managing Director for Studies Administration and Managing Director for Fellowship Affairs within the David Rockefeller Studies Program. As Managing Director for Studies Administration, I coordinate the activities of the Director of Studies office staff; oversee the day-to-day operations of the 130-person program, including staffing, budgeting, employee relations, and policies and procedures. As Managing Director for Fellowship Affairs, I manage the general administration of the Fellowship Affairs program and its fourteen distinct fellowship programs by overseeing the marketing of the programs, the application and selection processes, and the placement of selected fellows at host organizations and by overseeing the work of the administrative staff. My specialties include strategic planning, risk management, human resources, compliance, financial analysis and budgeting, grant management, cross-functional collaborations, staff development, mentoring, and coaching, and board advisory, committee support, and reporting.
