About Amy Blowers

After leaving school I studied Architecture before going on to work in London at Azman Architects - projects included Alexander McQueen's Shop, Vivenne Westwood V&A exhibition, residential refurbishments and one off house designs. Having taken a gap year to go travelling I returned to the UK where I completed a PGCE in Design & Technology and worked in a local comprehensive school teaching Construction, Art, Resistant Materials and Graphics. It was in 2015 that CDM 2015 came into force and I made the transistion back to the Construction Industry and took a position as a Principal Designer. I have since completed a Nebosh Certificate in Construction and have undertaken the role of principal designer for a number of projects ranging from internal refurbishments, new build one off houses and areas within the engineering industry. My role now ivolves working with design teams to collate the Pre-Construction Information, reviewing Construction Phase Plans and completing the H&S File. I also regularly work with a company to produce Safe Systems of Work for the machinery and equipment and ensure that department members are completing their Risk Assessments.
