About Amy Boerner

My super power is getting things done. I enjoy creating and implementing innovative strategies that see complex projects to fruition. My ability to quickly grasp new information has allowed me to complete diverse projects that include: a 5 million page public records request; a COVID-19 website for a major university; the construction of a University Visitors Center with multiple interactive technologies and varied stakeholders; and, a communications plan for a multi-day/three-route/three-bus Chancellor's tour for 90 faculty and staff of UNC-Chapel Hill. I make meaningful connections with stakeholders and offer clear direction, reasonable timelines, a sense of urgency and humor as necessary. I am also adept at creating curriculum for trainings and collaborative workshops based on desired educational outcomes and I enjoy public speaking. One of my passions is yoga, and my extensive experience teaching yoga has engrained in me the ability to initiate mindful action. I believe food is medicine and that food inequity perpetuates larger societal injustice, so I have volunteered for Meals on Wheels and local food banks. I enjoy creative writing and believe that my love of language allows me to communicate succinctly and effectively with written and spoken word.
