Collaboration isn’t always easy, but I think it’s the key to solving most complex problems. Collaboration – along with connection and care – also happens to be the primary ingredient for resilience as we move deeper into a climate impacted world. It’s important. As a qualified facilitator, my approach to consulting is founded on collaboration. I’m less interested in “telling you the answer” and more interested in understanding your context and finding solutions together. I design efficient processes to surface, explore and synthesise knowledge and experience so solutions deliver maximum benefit. I’m about people. But I’m also about getting the job done right. That business degree wasn’t for nothing! I love efficiency, scalability, and am always thinking about opportunities for systemic change. I have worked in not-for-profits, private enterprise, and government so I understand each of these contexts comes with different challenges and opportunities. Some of my favourite projects have been- Developing a long-term approach to climate change community activation with City of Bayside - Delivering Climate Emergency Training to all staff at Bass Coast Shire Council and providing advice about how Council could embed climate action into their workplace culture - Developing climate change strategies, including the Glen Eira Our Climate Emergency Response, Bass Coast Climate Change Action Plan and Port Phillip Act and Adapt - Researching and co-designing a business model with Bayside City Council so residents can participate in the circular economy through reuse, repair and repurposing - Co-founding Off the Leash, Darwin’s answer to Beat Magazine - Leading the Smart Blocks sustainable strata project for City of Melbourne, City of Sydney and Strata Community Association - Working on the original Zero Carbon Moreland program with Moreland Energy Foundation
