About Amy Brooks

I am a Senior Geologist in Geosyntec's Charlotte, North Carolina Office with over ten years of consulting experience. I help my clients by conducting and leading contaminated site assessment and remediation projects. I manage projects under a variety of regulatory programs including the Registered Environmental Consultant (REC) program, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Brownfields program, and Solid Waste Management. My experience includes delineating site contamination, analyzing site geochemistry and groundwater flow, designing remedial approaches, creating 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional data visualizations, and sampling of a variety of media. I provide site stewardship for my clients by helping them meet routine and non-routine regulatory requirements through National Pollutant Elimination Discharge System (NPDES) permit operation, RCRA generator status management, administrative order of consent compliance, and site closure through risk-based or remediation approaches. Prior to joining Geosyntec, I gained experience in environmental consulting during four internships which included field work and office tasks in the disciplines of hydrogeology, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, and engineering geology. I completed both an undergraduate and an M.S. graduate thesis, both of which focused on geochemical characterization of soils.
