About Amy Carrigan

I am a design technologist and freelance illustrator based out of the Central Oregon area. I love creating engaging stories and experiences through the mediums of CSS and illustration. As a design technologist, I specialize in bridging the gap between design and technology to create beautiful and user-centered digital experiences. With a strong background in both design and development, I have the unique ability to understand, communicate, and execute in the liminal spaces between the visual, technical, and business aspects of a project. In my illustrations, I enjoy combining the unpredictability of watercolor with the control provided by digital art programs. Illustrating butterflies and flowers and turning those illustrations into repeat patterns for surface design is my true love. My skills include user experience design, front-end development, prototyping, and illustration - both vector and raster based. I am able to work independently or as part of a team to bring projects from concept to launch. I am constantly learning and staying up to date with the latest design and development trends and tools.
