About Amy Carrillo

What motivates me most is solving problems and helping others. I believe that problem solving is a critical part of growth and that success is determined by what you do for others. It is all about building connections, development, and looking at challenges as an opportunity to drive improvement. I've been able to do that throughout my extensive career in the financial industry based on my ability to think of creative solutions and adapting to circumstances. This also led me to completing the UC Berkeley Extension Technology Program Management program where I have expanded my project and program management skills. In my most recent role as a Business Execution Consultant at Wells Fargo Bank, I have been able to improve process in customer experience and risk management by analyzing trends through operational reports and branch inspections to identify and mitigate issues. I consult leadership with strategy and insight to make decisions that align with internal policy and procedures. This effort has led to several years of satisfactory risk performance in the district I cover. What makes me good at solving problems is the ability to deconstruct an issue and get to the root cause. This happens by analyzing and assessing the issue, documenting the risks, coordinate solutions cross-functionally, and communicate risks to senior leadership. The end game - mitigate the risk! I work well with technical teams, subject matter experts, and leadership.taking the issue across the lifecycle - from identification to mitigation. With skills and experience using Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and Agile, along with program management tools (Wrike, Trello, Monday.com, Jira, Confluence, and Asana), I use my Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification to manage programs and projects through the lifecycle.
