Leading lawyer with 20 years experience helping clients succeed in the energy industry. As the regional leader of Fasken's Global Energy and Climate Group, I advise clients regarding: the purchase and sale of energy, including structured energy products and financial transactions; the development, construction and financing of generation and transmission facilities and related infrastructure; the negotiation of consultation, funding, impact benefit agreements, partnerships and joint ventures with First Nations and other Indigenous groups to facilitate reconciliation; and compliance with Canadian derivatives regulations relating to energy transactions. I also have significant expertise advising on other corporate transactions and commercial activities, including buying and selling businesses, key assets and equipment, constructing new facilities, and investing in private companies, joint ventures and partnerships, as well as negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts. I am passionate about supporting women in the legal profession and women entrepreneurs - ensuring they have access to opportunities and celebrating their success. Outside the office, I love skiing with my family and walks with our Mini Schnauzer.
