Experienced and dedicated Area Director of Sales and Marketing for the Thunder Bay Hotel Collection, including Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre, Days Inn North and Days Inn & Suites. My fifteen years in the hospitality industry have provided me with a unique skillset in Sales, Revenue Management and Operations. With these opportunities, I have gained experience in multiple departments and have been provided the privilege to develop myself into the type of leader that I have aspired to be in this industry. I am driven by my passion to create exceptional experiences for our guests, clients and to encourage other team members to do the same. I strive to provide them with excellent customer service and professionalism. Throughout my career I have been known for creating added value for clients by exceeding their expectations and anticipating their needs. My key strengths are building client relationships, sales, catering, operations, revenue management, team leadership and problem solving, as well as, my ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized. I have had the opportunity to restructure and rebuild teams from the ground up and implement strategies, policy and procedures. I have created and developed successful Sales Action Plans (SAPs) and tools for restructuring and re-segmenting teams based on revenue and rooms per sales manager. I enjoy leading Sales teams and developing their strengths that will best impact their successes in this industry. I have worked under several PMS, POS and RMS systems over the years; Opera(legacy, lite and cloud) Oracle, Maestro, Delphi (legacy and cloud, Duetto, Siteminder, Salesforce, Symphony, Squirrel, Micros, and more.
