Background
About Amy Christopherson
My 1st position was a bagging clerk at the local supermarket when I was 15. I took such pride in my job and wanted to be the best bagging clerk I could be! At 17 I shifted to a Serving position at Farrells Ice Cream Parlor; I knew 1 thing at this point, I LOVE PEOPLE. I love making people feel good, I always have. These positions have given me a foundation that is priceless and has lead me to who I am today. Following High-School I obtained my Medical billing and Phlebotomy Certs. Shortly thereafter, started a position at a Lawfirm in Downtown LA translating medical records for their class action Medical lawsuits. Although, this was an amazing position, I was 20 years old commuting 2-3 hrs a day in a position that required no customer service. I took great pride in what I accomplished but I wasn't fulfilled. I provided notice until a replacement was found and accepted a position within the Restoration industry. I grew from preparing job files to Marketing, Estimating and assisting with project management. Following several years here I was offered the Executive Management position with DMC Plumbing overseeing all operations within the company. I was not looking for a job at this time, I was happy with Servpro, but this position was my dream job. I managed and maintained multi million dollar contracts ensuring all parties, including my employees, had what they needed to complete each task efficiently and safely. Please note, this position was working for family. We all know, working for family CAN BE tough for various reasons. For me, it was wanting a personal relationship with my family rather than a professional one. Over the last several years I've had the privilege of working with my husband learning his world of Adjusting. I can work full time and still be home with our 3 young children? I could be a mom while still managing my career? Perfect. Helping my insureds get through some of the most difficult days of their lives is very important to me. I love my job very much but my babies aren't babies anymore and now in school full-time. I am ready for a staff position, working consistent hours and continuing to grow myself as an individual and professional. I believe one can ALWAYS better themselves. Like when I was 15 wanting to be the best bagging clerk I could be, at 35, I still do all I can to ensure I am the best I can be in any position I assume. On my own accord I have completed Note Taking Seminars, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Certifications, Business, Computer, Bookkeeping and Accounting 101 courses and look forward to what's next.
