About Amy Corpe

My name is Amy Corpe and I have over 17 years of experience working in the Animal Welfare field and non-profit sector with an educational background in Social Work. I am currently the Director of Animal Health at Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) and am actively pursuing an education in Animal Health Technology. My role as Director of Animal Health enables me to be responsible for the physical and emotional health of all animals in AARCS care, including direct supervision of Veterinary Hospital staff. The Director holds a high level of accountability and responsibility to lead the medical teams daily operations in a high volume, high quality care facility; responding and growing to meet the needs of animal welfare, the organization and our community; and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met or exceeded. My passion for animal welfare and experiences has provided me with the skill set to properly communicate, enforce, administer and evaluate departmental policies and procedures as it relates to disease management, shelter medicine, pet adoptions, animal behaviour management, workplace safety, and management theory practices within in the work environment. My goal is to continue working within the Animal Welfare and Non-profit sector. I wish to expand my knowledge base and continue to advance in this field.
