About Amy Dendinger

After over 10 years in the classroom, assisting students in overcoming reading difficulties and increasing student outcomes, I am well prepared to dedicate myself to the highest standards of reading support and improvement for students and teachers. My expertise lies in assessing students individual learning needs, developing and implementing individual learning plans in order to help student increase their reading outcomes. I have been fortunate to work with a wide range of students from 3rd grade to 8th grade, across a wide range of reading abilities. Through these classroom experiences, I was inspired to pursue my Master’s degree in Reading Education from Bowling Green State University, which I graduate from in May 2019. Highlights of my qualifications include: o Accomplished rating as a reading intervention specialist with Tiffin City Schools, assessing students, teaching Tier 2 coursework, and participating on Literacy Team. o Creating individualized plans and programs to facilitate individualized reading education while encouraging and developing student’s appreciation for reading. o Communicating and collaborating with teachers to determine appropriate interventions based on data and student performance. o Planning school-wide and community involvement to promote reading engagement. o Developing and providing professional development for reading teachers in the areas of vocabulary instruction, differentiation, assessment, and guided reading.
