About Amy Eckelmann
With a varied career of teaching and editing, I have developed skills that can be applied to myriad of educational opportunities. As a current elementary teacher of English language learners, I have been able to notice and apply the changes in educational practices first-hand. Building upon my classroom knowledge, I adjunct for Molloy University, where I teach post-graduate grammar and academic vocabulary instruction in the TESOL Pathways program.Due to a strong background knowledge of APA citation rules, I have been able to contribute to SCOPE's Journal for Leadership and Instruction in two different capacities: as a research editor and as a publisher of the journal. My true passion is professional development. I have had wonderful opportunities around the world to present my research on the intersection of theater and scholastic self-efficacy. Within the school district in which I teach, I conduct several professional development workshops for my colleagues through the Teacher Center, with a focus on best teaching practices and research regarding English language learning education.
