About Amy Entin

Today, I am working at Innoviz Technologies as an optical desginer, bringing optics from concept to production for our automotive grade LiDAR. For the five years before that, I served in the Israeli Navy, putting my optics and management skills to work as the Periscope Projects Officer. This involved handling the latest optronic mast upgrade as both the technical and project management point of contact, instituting mid- to small-scale upgrades on short time frames for the current fleet, and solving problems caused by obsolescence. I completed my degree in Optical Engineering at University of Rochester Institute of Optics in 2016, with coursework in the areas of lens design, optical fabrications, aberrations and testing, geometrical optics, interference and diffraction, math (calculus through multivariable, linear algebra, complex analysis, Fourier series/transforms), and physics (mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, modern physics), as well as having proficiency in AutoDesk, SolidWorks, Creo, and CodeV. I recently finished my MBA at Tel Aviv University, with a dual concentration in Managing Big Data & Business Intelligence and Entrepreneurship & Strategy.
