About Amy Felder

In my role as Associate Vice President, Claims for Atain, I co-lead a Claim team made up of seven attorneys and am a member of our Major Case Unit. I counsel and take action on defense and coverage issues, liability exposure, loss/expense reserves, and effectuating settlement opportunities. I manage our outside litigation and work with counsel across the nation on effectively and strategically handling cases in both defense of insureds and Atain in coverage disputes. I handle CGL, D&O, Professional Liability and Commercial Property claims and lawsuits.Prior to joining Atain, I represented insurance companies throughout the United States in a wide variety of complex insurance coverage disputes, including first-party property claims, third-party claims (including, but not limited to, bodily injury, products liability, construction defects, environmental contamination, toxic torts), auto (UM, UIM, No-Fault) and bad faith. I also routinely counseled clients through coverage opinions in multiple jurisdictions on a wide variety of insurance coverage and defense topics including, but not limited to, third-party (commercial general liability) policies, No-Fault claims, Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist claims, homeowners’ claims and commercial property losses.I am admitted to practice before the State Bars of Michigan and Illinois, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
