About Amy Fitzsimons

I am currently working in a full time role as the Early Careers and Youth Employer Brand Partner in the Human Resources Department at Vodafone Ireland. Previous to this I had worked as a HR Advisor in the HR department as well. Previously, as a part of the Vodafone Commercial Graduate Programme, I worked in the HR department for my second rotation of the programme as an Employer Brand & Youth Executive. During my first rotation, which I also thoroughly enjoyed, I worked in the Commercial Operations Unit as a Mobile Care & Ops Executive. Between graduating college and starting my current position I worked as a Social Media Manager for Elevate Career Advice creating engaging content for the social media platforms of both Elevate Career Advice and its parent companies Elevate Dublin and Bermuda. I am also an experienced travel and food blogger (fitz-of-wandering.com). Having originally set my blog up in order to document my Erasmus year in Siena, it quickly became a passion project of mine and led me to also develop skills in video editing around my trips. During the pandemic I worked as well for the tech start-up ResHub for three months helping them discover their social media brand and provided them with the content to back it up. I completed my undergraduate degree in History from Trinity College Dublin in 2020 and graduated with a first class honours. During college, I worked in the Publicis Dublin office for 3 years (part-time) as Front of House administrator. My skills include descriptive writing, video editing, using the microsoft office programmes and the different apps of Adobe Creative Cloud.
