Background
About Amy Flax
I am passionate about teaching mathematics. Education transformed my own life from challenging childhood circumstances. Math opened the door to engineering for me which led to a great career in telecommunications. I want students to believe in themselves and that they can do math. I want students to know that education is the greatest investment in oneself. My passion about education and math for all led to advocacy for the best math education to students in New Jersey and across the US and being on the New Jersey Math Standards Review twice.Stumbling upon a great idea, that a SmartWatch app can detect a PTSD/Anxiety attack and bring up a breathing app to calm oneself. My passion, research skills, resourcefulness and network of people will make CalmingTime a reality to help many who suffer from PTSD/anxiety.
