I am a reflective learner. An effective collaborator. A thoughtful innovator and designer. A compassionate leader who builds capacity in others. I am a systems thinker who connects varied stakeholders in improving strategic priorities, goals, processes, and structures. A champion for leveraging diverse perspectives and seeking critical input for effective system-wide decision making. Proven track record of cultivating positive relationships with colleagues and building capacity in others for effective collaboration with a focus on results. I am passionate about learning that inspires and supports ALL students to be prepared for an increasingly uncertain world. Our students need to be problem finders, as well as problem solvers. Students need to be able to think creatively, to work collaboratively, to develop agency, and to be both empathetic and resilient. Students need to feel seen and valued; they deserve to have a strong sense of belonging. I was a founding teacher of Innovation Institute, an interdisciplinary HS project-based learning program. I led to Innovation Institute’s recognition as one of HundrED’s 2019 Global Inspiring Innovations. I co-authored a chapter about Innovation Institute in The PBL Playbook by A.J. Juliani.
