I am a jack of all trades. I currently work in both publishing and academia. Working as an adjunct professor is quite fulfilling. Teaching students how to improve their writing makes me excited to go to class each week. When you see the expression on their faces when they understand a technique to help improve their communication is the greatest feeling. Publishing was my career goal throughout university. I interned at a small publishing company in Glasgow and was able to figure out where my strengths are and where my weaknesses lay. I knew I wanted to be a reader, but I also discovered that marketing would not be my strength. As you can see, reading, writing and editing are my strengths. I hope to have a career where I am able to use all three.
