About Amy Greer

I enjoy working closely with writers to develop their projects and help them realize their full potential. As a writing instructor and tutor, I have focused on providing feedback that is valuable, constructive, and respectful. I most enjoy helping writers in the developmental stage map out their ideas, organization, and audience awareness. Since I work with writers from a diversity of fields, I often address issues of communicating clearly to readers who may not be familiar with a specific discipline. I am particularly interested in helping writers in the sciences explain their work for general readers. I am also a literary scholar, and my research has included examining both techniques in experimental fiction as well as trends in popular genre fiction. My current project examines the commonalities between detective, horror, and weird fiction. I am looking for opportunities where I can apply my skills in providing constructive feedback and input and help people develop successful projects. I would thrive in an environment where I could utilize my knowledge of popular culture, literature, or science communication to contribute to projects outside of academia.
