I started as a Claims manager at Bay Area Transfer/Allied Van Lines and then transitioned into their short-haul dispatcher. After 2 years I met my husband and spent the next 9 years on the truck with him moving customers all over the US and Canada. In 1998 I left the truck in order to have my daughter. I started dispatching from home long haul drivers for North Coast Moving/Allied Van Lines not long after. 2 1/2 years ago I went to work for Hansen Brother another Allied Van lines agent. Working with the drivers has been interesting and rewarding. They know they can call me anytime, not just during work hours. Part of the job is being a good listener and helping them work through their stress. I also am the Safety person for them.
