In 2018, I had the opportunity to take on an internship at a small company called Essential Support Services, and the internship led to a part-time position. During my time there, I gained a lot of valuable knowledge about accounting for a small business, including management of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Over a 6 month period I collected revenue from overdue accounts to bring accounts receivable down by more than and I received a scholarship recognizing my performance during my internship. Most recently, I completed a summer internship at the accounting firm Snyder Cohn. In this position, I completed tax returns for nonprofit organizations and assisted in multiple audit engagements, among other tasks. This internship solidified my interest in continuing on the CPA track.
