About Amy Katcherian

The moment in my legal career when I first heard "all rise" and I stood as the lead attorney for my client, ready to advocate and put my legal strategy in motion, was the biggest intellectual rush of my life, and I have been chasing that high ever since - both inside and outside of the courtroom. I have spent over a decade representing publicly traded companies in a variety of complex and high-value legal matters, from commercial disputes to criminal and civil governmental investigations to closing multi-million dollar real estate transactions. Every case has been an opportunity to grow as a practitioner, and the most exciting assignments have been chances to explore uncharted areas of the law. I love it! Most recently, I was promoted from the litigation to the business side of the company to proactively keep legal questions from becoming litigation - an opportunity to make an impact in a new way which I quite enjoyed. Being on the business side made me a nimble negotiator; finding innovative ways to get to "yes", close deals and drive revenue. The thorny issues that raise the corporate blood pressure are the issues that excite me. I am a firm advocate for fairness: in negotiations, in court, among team members, and at home with my boys. It is one of my fundamental traits that helps me solve otherwise intractable problems and build effective teams across different departments.
