About Amy Kavanagh

My current role as Acting Team Lead on the Access and Inclusion Model, involves leading a team of ten Early Years Specialists in supporting a range of diverse early years ELC settings to assist them in enabling inclusive practice and optimal participation of a child with additional needs within the pre-school room. I support programme development and implementation alongside collaborating with external agencies and professionals to support common goals within the sector. I also have over 18 years experience within the Early learning and care sector. Managing both private and community based services, implementing and supporting change within teams of up to 20 employees. I have also developed and delivered QQI level 5 & 6 Modules in Early Childhood studies. I am driven, organised and focused with a passion for the Early years sector. I have continuously committed to my professional development. I am currently studying an MA in Advocacy and Leadership in the Early Yeard. I have completed Leadership for Inclusion special purpose award, train the trainer and also I have all other CPD training up to date e.g Child Protection, Hanen, Autism Studies etc.
