About Amy Kelley

I've been passionate about manga, specifically BL (boys' love, yaoi) manga, for more than 20 years, and have worked my way up to team leader, social media manager, and managing editor of the English digital manga publisher and platform,"Renta!" For five years I've trained on a variety of jobs and filled many positions, such as translator, editor, quality checker, social media specialist, marketing, brand invigoration, freelance coordination, project management, and social outreach. I also recently act as the English-speaking brand ambassador, participating in various events to share the love of BL and empower its global fanbase. As both a fan and an industry insider, I have a strong love for female-oriented manga spaces and fandoms, and want to work to help them thrive in any way I can. Part of my job requires staying on top of moves within the industry, and well as staying connected to the fans that help it flourish. I love to connect with others who're passionate about manga, whether as fellow fans, freelancers, industry professionals, media, or scholars. In my free time I'm a nerd through and through, and enjoy playing video games, watching documentaries, reading books about branding and psychology, and going to cute little cafes to chill and journal. I'm a fairly quiet and introspective person, but I still love meeting and connecting with like-minded people.
