About Amy Lancaster

I have a passion for working with individuals who are trying to recover from alcohol and drug addictions. This passion was sparked when I was in an internship at a psychiatric hospital. I was in a group of individuals sharing their stories about life and addiction. Each person in that room shared a story that lacked support and/or was woven with loneliness. In that moment I reflected on how blessed I had been through my life to have always had support from friends and family. I knew I wanted and needed to share that support with others who may have not always been as fortunate. I began my career with Pavillon in August of 2017 as a continuing care case manager and soon after took on additional responsibilities as a counselor. I was promoted to my current role as Quality Improvement Specialist in July 2020. I have previous experience in a variety of substance use treatment settings, as a direct care staff, a counselor and a program director. Those experiences combined with my passion for improving systems has been a huge asset for the quality improvement role. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from East Carolina University and my Master of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), and a Clinical Supervisor Intern (CSI). Outside of work, I love to travel, hike, read, run, and spend time with family. I also love to use my voice for social justice advocacy.
