Administrator, Radiologist, Mentor & Educator with more than 20 years’ experience in private practice and academia. Expertise navigating healthcare systems and directing cross functional teams of both medical and business leaders across multiple disciplines, distilling scientific data to communicate common goals and achieve results. Trusted advisor to Nonprofit and Hospital Boards of Directors on risk mitigation, cost containment, and staffing, serving as Trustee at Bay Park Hospital for over six years. Strong communicator with ability to provide sound guidance in challenging situations while cultivating relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Over 20 years practicing clinical medicine I have witnessed the spectrum of successes and failures of our health care system. My mission has always been to use my medical knowledge to help people, and now that includes finding ways, both innovative and disruptive, to increase patient engagement, increase patient wellness, and increase the practice of coordinated outcome and value-based medicine. To that end, I received an MBA with distinction from Cornell with concurrent Master's in Healthcare leadership from Cornell Weill, as well as training in design thinking/human-centered design, to bolster the knowledge and skills necessary to lead in our ever-evolving healthcare environment. I'm excited about bringing more functional healthcare, not just more health care, to patient populations, and utilizing behavioral economics to empower patients to be active participants in wellness and increase patient buy-in and ownership. To date, I have accumulated not only extensive experience in imaging but also with multispeciality clinical care teams. I am an experienced leader, mentor, and educator of residents and medical students. For 6 years I served as a Trustee on a non-profit hospital board, allowing me to gain high-level knowledge of health care operations. Going forward, I am developing opportunities to work with other medical professionals and institutions to improve patient care by integrating better management practices and shift our focus as an industry to care that is more patient-centric and results in more patient success stories.
