About Amy Levkov

I just passed my four-year anniversary as Lead Compliance Investigator for GE Healthcare. In this role I investigate ombuds and compliance concerns raised by our employees. GE has a long tradition of encouraging employees to raise integrity concerns. Every day offers a new challenge and a new chance to learn about GEHC’s business processes. I have resolved 380 investigations since Feb. 2018 primarily raised from the U.S. and Canada (including French-speaking Quebec) but also from nearly every global region where GEHC has a presence. I am proud that my investigations help make GEHC a stronger company. I was initially hired to GEHC in August 2011 as a Compliance Project Leader working on the Aggregate Spend project; GEHC’s response to the 2010 Physician Payments Sunshine Act. The team created a detailed workflow to 1. Gather details of interactions with healthcare professionals; 2. Provide interaction approval and oversight; and 3. Create reports for submission to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. I worked with the IT developers on coding requirements and testing; led the development of an interim contract creation process; led the integration of a permanent contract creation process; wrote training courses for new users; served as the main contact for user training and troubleshooting; and led a continuous improvement project. In November 2012, I moved to the Compliance Standards team to research and write new internal policies and procedures, in addition to continuing my work on IT projects through the development of policy ebooks.
