About Amy Lynch

Hello! I’m Amy Lynch and I’m currently enrolled as a student in TUS limerick studying a BSc in Applied Psychology. I have a range of experience working in a variety of service sectors and a strong language proficiency both in English and Irish and moderate levels of French. I am particularly interested in the areas of rehabilitation, crime diversion and prevention, restorative justice and youth development through probation programmes. My own prospective future research interests lie primarily in social psychology: examining social constructivism, cultural and social norms. I am interested in gender differences in crime - in crime committal and rehabilitation differences, the discrimination and ostracisation of marginalised groups in society, in personality disorder development and in investigating the role that media can play in influencing judgement and inviting the formation of prejudicial stereotypes in society.
