I am a PhD student currently assessing the toxicological impacts of decommissioned offshore oil and gas infrastructure and associated contaminants on endemic marine animals in Australia. Ambitions lie in environmental management, radioecology, ecotoxicology and showcasing the need for environmental monitoring and risk assessments from contaminants of emerging concern in the terrestrial and marine environment (radioactive materials and trace metals). Prospects for future aspirations aim to apply inter-disciplinary backgrounds to understanding current global issues relating to the effects of legacy and historic mineral extraction processes on vulnerable ecosystems.
