About Amy Malone

I am a Certified Public Relations Professional and Meeting Planner, with over 20 years of experience in communications. For many years I worked for industry leaders such as Capitol Records, Virgin Entertainment, CBS Television, and Radio-One. Seeing the need for a firm that catered to Urban and Faith-Based markets, I founded Girl in Charge Public Relations in 2005. My goal was to always take advantage of opportunities to increase brand, name and face/logo recognition for my clients. This done through carefully thought out publicity plans and executed with precision from inception to completion. The approach has worked in placing client projects on the New York Times Best Sellers list, and the Billboard Charts, as well as garnering them such industry accolades as NAACP Image Awards, Grammy Awards, BET Awards, and Stellar Awards. Working with clients nationwide, I managed to build a successful career with client placements and coverage in top media outlets such as People Magazine, Forbes Magazine, Essence Magazine, Billboard Magazine, L.A. Times, Good Day LA, and CNN, to name a few. I have also been a key component in the planning and execution of high profile corporate and community events including Watts Community Cancer & Health Awareness Festival, 92nd Annual National Bar Association Conference and Exhibition, Cal Spas® Annual Dealers Conference, the City of Compton Key to the City Ceremony: Kendrick Lamar, the NBA All-Star Gospel Celebration and Awards Ceremony, and The Deveard & Devaughn Darling Football Camp and Tournament in the Bahamas. ​I have built my career and family on a strong spiritual foundation; which is the backbone to my success as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur.
