I have social work experience at the macro, mezzo and micro levels, having worked for several years at the Alliance for Children's Rights on progressive reforms to foster care; at Walden Family Services managing cases and educating foster families, and doing clinical work in a community mental health setting. I am a foster and adoptive parent, attuned to the effects of system-induced trauma, child abuse, family separation, disrupted attachment, and prolonged reunification struggles on children, as well as biological and foster parents. In clinical practice, I blend EBPs and interventions drawn from various modalities. I believe therapy is a unique way of thinking and feeling together, in order to derive wisdom and freedom from problematic aspects of one's past. Certified in adult, child and baby First Aid, CPR and AED. Certified in TF-CBT, Seeking Safety, SBIRT and CANS. Student of Internal Family Systems. Proficient with case management software including Extended Reach and Exym. Familiar with Los Angeles County DCFS and DMH systems and processes.
