About Amy Mines

I am a passionate member of the Dubbo community and work proudly within the community through my role as Community & Youth Engagement Coordinator for headspace Dubbo (auspiced by Marathon Health Ltd). I have been in this role for 3 years and have developed amazing relationships with my colleagues, stakeholders, community and other agencies. My legacy will be to ensure broader community awareness around the headspace Dubbo service and to ensure ease of access whilst bolstering the level of mental health literacy and social and emotional wellbeing in our schools, workplaces and broader community. I am happily married to my best friend Dean Welbourne and we have 3 beautiful children (Charlotte 13, Caleb 10 and Jack 6). In my spare time I enjoy cooking and gardening with my husband and going on adventures with my children and spending time with my two younger sisters and my neice and nephew as well as with my in-laws and my extended family. I love reading and learning new things and am very quick to adapt and take on new challenges. I have a high level of emotional intelligence and enjoy supporting my colleagues and our team at headspace Dubbo in my assistant role to the Centre Manager. I am currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership and Resilience and aim to one day lead my own team to affect future change in mental health. I love working for Marathon Health and headspace Dubbo and am so proud of what we do in regional NSW.
