About Amy Mount

Hi there! As a longtime educator with a background in school improvement (I have an Ed.D. in it!), I really love building school systems where both academic excellence and real professional growth can happen. My main focus is helping districts design student-centered, modern curriculum, balancing rigorous standards-aligned instruction with relationships and holistic wellness, and championing innovation at all levels. My passion is balancing smart, data-driven school improvement with truly empowering educators. I create and run professional development that actually makes an impact, coach educators at all levels, and give leadership the support they need to create places where students and staff genuinely thrive. My approach to curriculum design centers on smart standards-alignment, clarity about outcomes, and using real-world learning experiences to get students ready for whatever comes next. I drive change through creating opportunity. For example, I lead a unique shared service agreement for 5 individual school districts. Under my leadership, all 5 groups of teachers, leaders, board and community members work together for the good of all of our communities. This shared service agreement encompasses curriculum and instruction, professional development and compliance training, state and federal grants, reports, and programs. I save our 5 small districts time, money, and duplicated efforts AND multiply teacher and student access to quality resources and development. I'm also an ace grant writer, securing multiple competitive grants to fund computer science course expansion and teacher training, AI literacy for students and teachers, and teacher-developed strategies to reduce their workload. For my work, I've been honored to be named an ASCD Emerging Leader, a Learning Forward Academy Fellow, and a TEL (Transformative Educational Leader) Fellow. I firmly believe that all of us are smarter than any one of us. Ultimately, I'm dedicated to shaking things up a bit in education, using strategies that are responsive, modern, and always keep people at the center.
