About Amy Oconnor

After a decade in generalist marketing roles, I have found a niche passion in helping human-centered tech startups to scale. I now spend my days working alongside incredible teams to get innovative new products into the hands of the people that really need them. In 2019, I joined the team at Preventure. To help translate proven strategies from elite athlete injury prevention, for the workplace. Our platform combines cost-effective wearable sensors and an intuitive data visualization platform to improve manual handling techniques, reduce musculoskeletal injuries and allow safety professionals to make objective, data-driven decisions. In order to deliver insights back to frontline workers efficiently, we leverage an AI-powered learning management system that sends custom content to handheld devices. And, we are now using our platform in a Workers’ Compensation setting to assist injured workers and improve return-to-work outcomes. Preventure was acquired by Bardavon Health Innovations in February 2023, a truly incredible outcome for our clients and partners. I now have a whole new appreciation for working caregivers. you are all superheroes and we should be doing so much more as a society to support parents.'It takes a village' has really fallen by the wayside in the Western world and there is a hidden stream of unnecessary shame circulating in online forums. The advice is to give our little people all of our attention, to become an expert in this new role, and to breastfeed as long as possible. But we are setting parents up to fail, and then making them feel like they are to blame. I'd love to connect with anyone that's trying to solve I’m also a rookie first-generation farmer, slowly building a chemical-free regenerative farm in the beautiful Hunter Valley during my time off. I would love to grow my network in this space and learn as much as possible about the intersection of agriculture and technology 🥸‍
