About Amy Pate

I have been fortunate to work in a variety of roles over the years, and the jobs that appeal to me the most and that I have excelled in are the ones that are task based and require: keen attention to detail; analyzing rules, regulations and policies and determining eligibility; working collaboratively; and using with systems (which I love creating and revising for maximum efficiency and to ensure that no deadline is missed). Currently working as a civilian employee with the Fort Worth Police Department, I am responsible for managing a large missing child caseload, interviewing reporting parties and confirming report details, analyzing each case to determine next steps, and reviewing and editing the detectives’ critical police incidents before submission to the district attorney. As co-owner of Merge Realty, I am familiar with the residential real estate industry and have assisted with developing marketing strategies. I have a general understanding of the mortgage loan process, and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about this industry. I have worked with eligibility-based social services programs where I have interviewed potential clients and used my analytical skills to determine program eligibility based on policies and procedures. Performing calculations and managing multiple budgets were key components of these positions. My copy editing/quality control and paralegal experience has helped me develop a keen eye for detail. I am passionate about digging into the details, and I actually enjoy tasks that might seem tedious to others such as working off checklists, comparing and contrasting data, and catching errors. Lifelong learning is one of my core values, and I actively seek educational and training opportunities.
