About Amy Porter

Authentic and purpose-driven leader with over two decades at Corning Inc, delivering life-changing innovations across engineering, manufacturing, and product line management. I’m passionate about building strong teams, developing talent, and driving results that matter—both in the moment and for the long term. My journey began as an entry-level engineer in Corning’s Optical Fiber business in North Carolina. It evolved into leading the Gorilla Glass manufacturing site in Kentucky through a technology transformation during high-profile Apple-Corning collaborations, then shifted internationally, serving as a business leader based in Taiwan and responsible for manufacturing across 12 global sites and employees. Today, I’m broadening my skills as a product line director, returning to my optical fiber roots in the Optical Communications business. I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from an incredibly diverse group of technologists, engineers, leaders, and strategic thinkers—both within Corning and alongside our customers. From navigating the telecom bust of the early to leading through uncertainty and change, I deeply value cross-cultural collaboration, resilience, and adaptive leadership. My most meaningful moments have come from witnessing the pride and growth of individuals and teams as they achieve what once seemed insurmountable. I remain committed to the power of people, purpose, and technology.
