About Amy Renner

I graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a BBA in marketing. I went on to complete my MBA at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with a full-tuition waiver. Currently, I work as the Foodbank Coordinator at the Southeast Ohio Foodbank with Hocking Athens Perry Community Action. I oversee 12 staff and 8+ food programs so my day is about as predictable as Ohio weather. Foodbanking is a remarkably specific and fast-paced industry that is well-known for it's ability to induce copious amounts of stress. With that said, I enjoy working for such a noble cause food insecurity and I'm proud of the work I've done to help feed those in need and to support the food pantries providing aid to their communities. I enjoy my role with the foodbank because it allows me to think critically about processes and innovate them. It has also provided me considerable supervisory experience and has been a lense into what it's like running an operation through mountains of rules and regulations imposed through federal and state funding organizations.
