About Amy Rodriguez

I hold a Mathematics degree with a minor in Business Administration, where I developed a passion for applying math to business challenges. This led me to explore the intersection of Mathematics and Computer Science, eventually transitioning into a Data Science master’s program, which I will complete in 2025. Currently, I work on Yale’s Digital Assets Team, managing bug fixes, enhancements, and stakeholder communication for projects like LUX: Yale Collections Discovery. My role includes creating wireframes, analyzing data with Google Analytics and SiteImprove, and improving overall project workflows. Previously, I completed a 16-month IT rotational program at Yale, gaining experience in Business Analysis, Software Engineering, and Configuration Analysis across Health Sciences, Student Academic Support Systems, and ServiceNow. I strengthened my skills in SQL, JavaScript, and business analysis while leading initiatives like automating HR performance forms for IT staff and teaching Business Analysis Foundations to Yale employees. In my Data Science studies, I have worked on database creation, data preprocessing, visualization, and statistical analysis, while also exploring data ethics. Currently, I’m developing a Python-based proposal to optimize LUX’s internal search functionality. A dedicated problem-solver, I thrive on refining processes, optimizing systems, and driving projects from inception to completion.
