About Amy S.

I use human-centered design and organizational strategy to help orgs transform complex challenges into intuitive and accessible solutions. Passionate about using design to empower communities, especially those who are underserved. My mission: design a more curious, connected, and compassionate world. Over the past 3 years, I've partnered with mission-driven organizations to redesign and reimagine their digital products and services (e.g. building a microlending web app to support Ugandan women entrepreneurs). Before that, I worked as a change management consultant, helping Fortune 500 companies design employee experiences to adapt to digital transformations. Through this, I gained a unique lens on how to balance business goals with user needs for products and services. My approach combines- End-to-end product and service design expertise (from concept to testing to launch)- Strategic thinking (from my time in management consulting)- Deep user research and facilitation experience across cultures (from my ethnography days)- Workshop facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management (from my ongoing work in dialogue facilitation) I'm currently seeking Product Design or Service Design opportunities where I can leverage my background to create meaningful digital experiences that are win-win-win's for users, business, and society.
