About Amy Saxton

I bring 30 years of education, non-profit marketing, recreation industry, and now, local government experience, to the table. My current role leading Strategic and Community Planning for Clear Creek County brings my all professional experiences together. I led marketing and sales for 12 years with both regional and national Outward Bound efforts, departing as the Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment. At Outward Bound I used leadership skills born of guiding students through the wilderness to help the business through a national merger. I gained personal insight and mindfulness as Director of Marketing at Naropa University. I am active in my community and excel at project management and strategic planning. Today, after 2 years leading a project to create a county-wide paved bike path across Clear Creek County, I now, as Strategic and Community Planning Division Director, advocate for all transportation needs on behalf of the County, working with multiple stakeholders, varied public funds and a wide array of subject matter experts from rafting industry leaders to roadway engineers. I also supervise the Planning and Building Services, Housing and manage the a newly formed Recreation Department. I also make art that you can check out on my website below.
