Dental Therapist qualifying from King’s College London with First-Class Honours in Dental Therapy and Hygiene BSc(Hons), & Academic Commendation for Clinical Excellence. Recipient of the 2023 KCL Rowe Dental Prize (DTH commendation) for the academic year 2022-2023. The Rowe Prize is a prestigious King’s Dental Institute award that is awarded to the student with the best overall clinical work completed during the basic clinical skills course early in DTH2/BDS2 Conservative & Minimally Invasive Restorative Dentistry. My passion for excellence in dental therapy extends too into my recent SSC/Dissertation graded 92%/A++ where I explored “Oral Hygiene Instructions: How significant are they in patient outcome & how can we effectively deliver it?”. I’m keen to understand more about the efficacy of different communication strategies, and how best we can adopt a preventative approach to dentistry when challenges such as accessibility and availability already exist for patients. This broader consideration for psychological and sociological issues affecting members of the public and their health outcomes has been an interesting link to my time with the British Transport Police too. I’ve enjoyed the challenges of two engaging and public facing positions. Beyond Dentistry, my initial training with the British Transport Police as a Special Constable has proved to be an exciting venture! It’s been valuable to strengthen my communication abilities, as well as situational analysis and effective teamworking. I’ve enjoyed staying connected to London.
