About Amy Sinnenberg

I am currently a master’s candidate in International Relations at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies where I am concentrating in China and Security, Strategy, and Statecraft. Additionally, I am a Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wake Forest University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Politics and International Affairs, double minoring in Chinese Language & Culture and East Asian Studies. Previously, I worked in Constituent Services for the Council of the District of Columbia. This enabledme to be highly experienced in liaising between the public and government agencies. Moreover, I worked diligently to cultivate and maintain relationships with individuals across the District to ensure continuedpartnership and deliver quick answers to constituents. Furthermore, in the summer of 2019, I worked as a Research Assistant with the Program on Extremism—a think tank associated with the George Washington University. There, I conducted open-source research on various topics relating to extremism in the United States. The kinds of skills I gained through conducting this kind of research made me develop creative methods and become resilient in finding answers to the questions asked of me and posed by me. The skills I have accumulated through my professional work, as well as my demonstrated curiosity and performance in my academic work, will greatly benefit any organization that is looking for a highly motivated, self-starting individual.
