About Amy Siskind

Amy Siskind is the Founder and GP of Causeway Investments, a direct secondary fund focusing on early stage investments. Amy started her career as a pioneer in distressed corporate debt market, with decades of experience in financial analysis and trading. Amy graduated top of her class at National Westminster Bank, and as the first LBO crisis hit in 1990, she crossed over to distressed as one of the first employees at Amroc Investments, founded by Marc Lasry. Amy went on to become the first female Managing Director at Wasserstein Perella & Co at the age of 31, and later ran trading departments at Morgan Stanley and Imperial Capital, where she was also a partner. Amy was named by PitchBook as one of the LGBTQ VCs you should know. She was also named to the POLITICO 50 for ideas that are blowing up American politics. Amy received a BA in economics from Cornell University, and a MBA in international finance from the NYU Stern School of Business. She serves as a member of Cornell University’s highly prestigious President’s Council of Cornell Women, and Cornell University Council. Amy also deeply believes in philanthropy and giving back. Her project on chronicling democracy at risk, “The Weekly List,” is archived at both the Library of Congress and University of Pennsylvania, and was turned into a bestselling book. She is President and Co-founder of The New Agenda, a national women’s organization, and has mentored scores of women.
