About Amy Standridge

I believe that people with dementia have something to contribute to society. I believe that care partners have a very challenging job and deserve fun and support. I believe that humor and fun are not frivolities - they are necessary life skills. I believe that with the right attitude, hard things can turn into fun things: Music therapy is a vital, allied health profession that greatly alleviates the heaviness around dementia-related challenges. Music and humor allow people to experience deep joy long into the dementia process: Keynote presentations using music and humor Professional development programs on how to use music and humor for people living with dementia Group music therapy sessions One-on-one music therapy sessions Support programs for your loved one living with dementia to experience more joy and connection I have been a board-certified music therapist for 22 years.
