About Amy Strang

As a young leader in the aviation industry, dedicated to delivering sustainable impact, I combine broad technical knowledge with strong relationship management, communication skills, and business understanding. My experience includes pivotal roles in fleet strategy, hydrogen aviation market analysis and project management at leading organizations, Air New Zealand and Airbus. I have a proven track record in data analytics and strategy development, successfully establishing the Air New Zealand Fleet 10 Year Strategy and leading the APAC region for Airbus' ZEROe strategy. Currently, I am expanding my expertise as an Environment and Sustainability Marketing Manager at Airbus where I am leading a multifunctional team to deliver a new strategy on Airbus’ environmental roadmap for our customers. On top of my day job, I have also founded the Emerging Leaders in Sustainable Aviation (ELSA) global network in 2025, which has a vision to empower the next generation of leaders with the knowledge and connections they need to build a more resilient, and sustainable aviation sector. And, as Chair of the Executive Committee I’m very excited to be bringing this vision to life. As a passionate sustainability champion, I am committed to leveraging my skillsets to drive meaningful, eco-conscious outcomes in this challenging yet rewarding landscape for aviation, and building on this foundation to gain further knowledge and insight. I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and explore opportunities to contribute to a more sustainable future.
