About Amy Trueworthy

I am a passionate learner and educator constantly seeking new ways to enhance and improve my own education as well as the educational experience of my students. The teaching profession allows me to remain a life-long learner which I embrace fully. I hold high expectations of myself and my students as to demonstrate respect and help them build confidence. In the classroom I teach language through the immersion method which students initially find challenging, but quickly recognize the benefits and success of such an approach. My love for Spanish is amplified by my passions for travel, literature, film, and the arts. In the classroom I want to empower young people to think deeply, find their own passions, and carve their own unique paths. Students appreciate and learn well from instructors who share their experiences generously and model passion and hard work; I am confident I demonstrate all of these qualities. I hope to work consistently towards improving education in America and creating unique and authentic educational experiences for all of those who pass through my classroom.
