About Amy White

Registered Nurse currently serving the neuroscience unit at Yale New Haven Hospital. I received an accelerated BSN from Sacred Heart University in August 2022. Prior to that, I gained my B.S. in Health Sciences from Eastern Connecticut State University, with a concentration in Allied Health and a minor in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude honors.During my undergraduate experience—in addition to keeping up with coursework—I tried out various roles of leadership, such as being an office associate in the Student and Fitness centers as well as a Teaching Assistant for different professors over multiple semesters. Altogether, I engaged in a vast array of extracurricular activities. This also includes—but isn't limited to—time spent in executive board positions for the student organization United Voices of Praise, including a term as President during my senior year. Amidst my time as President of UVOP, I was also inducted to the ECSU Phi Theta Delta health sciences department honor society. A month later, I began serving as Assistant Director and Coordinator for the 3-day ECSU Minority Health Conference held in the spring of 2021. Outside of my academics, I also spent time volunteering in activities such elementary-school tutoring or COVID-91 contact tracing. Overall, I'm a hard-working and dedicated professional who hopes to eliminate health disparity and never stop pursuing self-improvement throughout my nursing career.
