About Ana Broad

I am a Social Worker and Integrative Counsellor based in Devon and have been working predominantly with children who have experienced extreme trauma such as sexual abuse and supporting their parent to rebuild their lives after this. I have also developed and deliver workshops on Child Sexual Abuse and Prevention of harm which is delivered across Plymouth. I have 20 years of experience guiding and supporting people through significant life events and have more recently been working to support social workers through burnout and vicarious trauma. As well as being a counsellor and social worker I am a registered facilitator of the Circle of Security Parenting programme. This is an attachment-based parenting programme to support repair of relationships when the child is displaying challenging behaviour. I use a lot of this knowledge when working with parents. Being an LGBTQ+ Adoptive mother to two siblings I have personal insight and understanding of the complexities of supporting adoption, and about being a same sex family. I am down to earth and provide a safe and compassionate space for non judgemental growth and recovery. I work both for the NSPCC and as a self-employed counsellor and group facilitator.
