Over ten years’ experience in Highway Design and Project Management. Extensive involvement in developing solutions to traffic engineering problems from the early stages of the project into the construction phase and supervising those major projects during their construction on site. Currently acting as Project Manager, experience in managing the major projects to achieve the client’s goals within budget and programme. Takes ownership and responsibility for designs and delivery solutions, providing them to the highest technical standards and quality targets. Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently within multidisciplinary team. Successfully designed and delivered schemes including signalised junctions, roundabouts, crossings, traffic calming and bus and cycle infrastructures for various local authorities in the Southwest region. Responsible for the development of minor/major schemes using DMRB, MfS, TSRGD 2016 and TSMs 2018 and LTN 1/20. Education & Memberships • MEng Civil Engineering; 2:1(HONS)- EQF 7 - 480 ECTS; ICE-accredited • Chartered Engineer with ICE, CEng MICE • Member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) • CSCS card (Academically Qualified Person) • Accredited NEC4 supervisor Skill Highlights • Project management experience in implementing and controlling projects. • Design experience in signalised junctions, roundabouts, crossings, traffic calming and bus & cycle infrastructures • Development of minor/major highway schemes using the DMRB, MfS, TSRGD 2016, TSMs 2018 and LTN 1/20 • Delivery of projects from feasibility to planning /detailed design and onto construction • Mentoring and reviewing the documentation prepared by junior staff • Resource management and lead design • Preparation of tender/contract documents (specifications, cost estimates and bill of quantities) and coordination of tender assessment • Liaison with clients and external stakeholders, included Statutory undertakers (NRSWA 1991 code of practice) • Supervision of highway works on site, NEC3/4 contracts, Chapter 8 regulations & The Red Book and the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). • Experience working on WECA and GCC framework.
